The Onward Love Care Fund was created by Heron to offset the costs of Full Spectrum Birth + Postpartum Doula Support for those who are statistically underrepresented. The Onward Love Care Fund is for lower-income families, single parents, LGBTQIA+ families, People of the Global Majority, birthing people living in larger bodies, birthing people with disabilities, and/or families with multiple kids who have financial hardship.

By donating to the Onward Love Care Fund, you are directly contributing to Full Spectrum Birth + Postpartum Doula Services for families who would not be able to access doula care otherwise.

This Care Fund was created before the launch of the Whatcom County Doula Pilot Program and the Washington State Medicaid Doula Reimbursement process.

Starting in 2026, this fund will be used to provide additional Postpartum Doula Support for Medicaid/Apple Health eligible families who are in need of extra support, companionship and education, including but not limited to infant care, lactation, infant feeding, postpartum healing, dishes, laundry, meal preparation, and overnight support.
